My name is Agatha Slupek and I am a third year doctoral student at the University of Chicago, studying political theory and comparative politics. My primary research interests are in feminist theory, critical social theory, and political economy. I'm particularly interested in how elements of the feminist 'second-wave' can help us to think the critique of advanced industrial societies.

I am a 2018-2019 Residential Fellow at the Center for Gender and Sexuality Studies at the University of Chicago.  In addition, I was a 2017 Sciences Po Doctoral Exchange Fellow and spent time in Paris, France developing my dissertation project.

I completed my Master's at the University of Chicago in August 2017. My thesis "Beyond the Fragments: Feminism, Work, and Freedom" was awarded the Joseph Cropsey Prize for best master's thesis in political philosophy.

Before coming to Chicago, I earned my Bachelor's degree in Philosophy and Political Theory at McGill University, in my hometown of Montréal, Canada.
